How It Works
Every wallet that connects to Katana Perps automatically generates a unique referral code. You can refer a new user in two ways:
Referral URL — Share your unique referral URL. When a new user connects for the first time through your link, they are automatically attributed to your account.
Referral code — Share your referral code directly. New users can enter it manually on the Referrals page within the exchange.
Both your referral URL and code can be found on the Referrals page. You can also customize your referral code by clicking the pencil icon next to it.
Commission Calculation
As soon as a referred user begins trading, the referrer earns 10% of that user's trading fees. The referred user, in return, receives a 5% discount on their own trading fees for the lifetime of the referral relationship.
Example:
A referred user pays $10 in trading fees on a given day
At a 10% commission rate, this generates $1.00 in referral fees
The referrer receives $1.00 in USDC
The referred user paid $10 instead of $10.53 (thanks to their 5% discount)
Claiming
Referral commissions accumulate in your account and can be claimed at any time from the Referrals page. There is a minimum claim amount of $1. Amounts below $1 must continue to accumulate until the threshold is reached.
